Company Plans and Seats
Understand how companies assign subscriptions and usage access to members.
Company-paid access
A company can assign a subscription seat to each member. The seat determines the member's plan and included usage.
When you use that Work account, the company pays for eligible usage. Your Personal account remains separate.
Member roles
Company roles control who can manage members and billing. Depending on the assigned role, a member may be able to:
- Invite or remove users.
- Assign plans and seats.
- Review quota requests.
- Manage billing.
A standard member can use the plan assigned by an administrator but cannot change company billing.
Seat changes
A seat change can affect access immediately. Removing a member or deactivating a seat stops new requests from that Work account.
Administrators should review active seats before the next billing date. This helps the company avoid paying for seats that nobody uses.
