Values can change as models improve. Treat the response as authoritative. Check capabilities before sending tools, structured output, images, or reasoning requests. Use context_window to control total input size and max_output_tokens to cap requested output.

Use only the public id returned by this endpoint. Vendor model names are not valid MaxLabs model IDs. An unknown model returns 404 with code model_not_found.
